August 31, 2023 turned out to be the perfect day for a picnic for the residents of Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Our residents gathered in the courtyard, under the awnings over the patio, where they were served a picnic lunch. There were grilled juicy hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, soup, cheese cake berry salad for dessert , and plenty of beverages. The residents seemed to enjoy the fresh air as they ate, conversed, and laughed. Staff from every department assisted our residents by escorting them to and from the courtyard, served them their tray of food, and assisted them with their trays, and wherever there was a need. The Dietary staff did a great job in making this event a success!
