We had our annual Halloween Celebration

Staff and some volunteers came all dressed up for Halloween Parade

Friday, October 29th we had our annual Halloween Celebration where staff and some volunteers came all dressed up for the occasion.  Our participants paraded down from the Administration Office to the Emerald Grande Room where they paraded around our residents and judges showing off their costumes.

When talking to our judges Suzanne stated, “They all look really good.”  Our other judge Anne added, “Wow some of these costumes had to take some time.” Although it was a hard task, our judges picked the best in 4 categories.

Winners are as follows:

Halloween 2021

Cutest – Lit Dutch girl aka Snickers the dog

Scariest – Scary skeleton man aka Nick Hawkey

Funniest – Ostrich rider aka Karen

Craziest – Bank Robber aka Kaleena

As you can see when looking at the pictures many of our residents had Halloween headbands provided by the Therapy Department.  We had some Lions/Witches/Spider Ears/and Pumpkins.  Thanks, Therapy!!

After the judging was over everyone enjoyed an Orange frozen treat from our Dietary department. It was very yummy and enjoyed by all.  Thanks, Dietary!!

When our treats were all finished some residents wanted to sing some songs. (We all love to sing.)  So Nancy and Vicki led everyone in doing an old-time favorite…”The Hokey Pokey.”  There are some videos of this craziness.  Vicki and Nancy loved to make things into a contest, so we separated the group into 2 and the judges judged who sang the loudest.  There is a video of this also so you can be the judge!  We all enjoyed our fun-filled afternoon and hope you do as well after reading and viewing the pictures and videos.  Until next time……
