A HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVENT AT MVN&RC
On October 31, 2023, residents, family members, staff, and volunteers gathered for our annual Halloween event. After our residents were escorted into the Grande Room, they waited patiently for the entrance of our costumed guests, which included residents, staff, and volunteers, who were dressed in scary, cute, and funny costumes. As these special guests arrived, they paraded around the Grande Room several times enabling our resident judge, Jim, assisted by MC, Nancy S, as well as everyone in attendance, to get a good view of each of the parades.
As the resident judge was deciding who the winning contestants would be, the room was filled with laughter, conversations, and smiling faces. Everyone was having a great time.
Jim, assisted by Nancy, as needed, chose winners for the 4 categories which included the funniest, cutest, most original, and the scariest. The funniest was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was a group of residents and staff members. The cutest was a resident dressed up as a cat. The most original was a staff member dressed as a hippie, and the scariest was a staff member dressed as a wicked witch, and her costume was truly scary.
After the applause for the winners died down, the residents were served a treat from the dietary department, which was a good way to end our happy Halloween event.
