Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s activity staff had a little St. Patrick’s Day fun with residents by dressing up in some green to show our inner “Irish” and having some snacks and fun. Amy S. from dietary was kind enough to make up something a little special so she brought her special “Green” drink to share with anyone who wanted some refreshment.

The words snow day can mean so many different things to many different people. Shoveling, endlessly just to dig a path to walk, on your sidewalk or uncover your car to get to work. For some, it may mean that they have to get up extra early to be certain they are able to get to work on time, then there is parking a completely different issue. But I think more than a few of us may remember when were little and school may have been canceled due to the bad weather. Many of us may even have some great memories of the fun we had making snowmen, snow angels, building forts or just tossing a few snowballs at one another. There is no denying the beauty of when you see the outside and it’s been blanketed by a fresh snowfall and just for a few moments you can remember when a snow day was something to look forward to. The staff and residents of Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center share that feeling from a few of the last snow days we had this past week. So we took a few pictures and decided to share our snow day with you all.
Who doesn’t like fun? Mardi Gras can be a fun time and this is the same here are Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. If you can’t go to New Orleans and enjoy the party at Bourbon Street. Watch the parade, collect a few beads and just have a good time. That’s no reason to not have fun, so the staff held a Mardi Grad party for the residents to celebrate the occasion. So its time to enjoy some music, fun, a few beads and a good time.
