Bringing in the New Year 2022

The Activity staff held their annual New Year’s Eve Party

It might have only been 2 pm, but we partied like it was midnight. The Activity staff held their annual New Year’s Eve Party on New Year’s Eve day. Our wonderful dietary department made yummy parfaits and gave all a glass of sparkling cider to toast with.

In past years we had a DJ here and we held karaoke… but with COVID things are different. So with YouTube, Activity staff held their own karaoke. We had a few residents that sang solos… we all danced, clapped, and tapped our toes along.

Spirit Week – Christmas Dress Up

Every year the staff at Mahoning Valley Nursing Home take the week of Christmas as a “Spirit Week”. Each day we have a different theme. This year was especially important due to COVID. Enjoy the pictures that were taken throughout the week of staff and residents participating in this “Spirit Week”.

All residents received a light-up Santa Hat or light-up necklace donated by one of our wonderful staff members. To see their faces light up and all the smiles were so rewarding during this difficult time.
