Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is celebrating Ugly Sweater, Vest or Scrubs day or as “Ugly Sweater Day“.

Which is a day meant to be a light-hearted fun day to be yourself and not the boring corporate version suit and tie version of yourself? We know how everyone really hates that stuff. So the idea here is to have some fun and leave the corporate stuff at home. Since Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is in the nursing, rehabilitation and medical care we did it up with our own style. Spring Fling-Easter Fun Day

Celebrating Easter & Springs Arrival.

Sunday, March 25th, the Mahoning Valley Nursing Home, and Rehab Center held a Spring Fling-Easter Fun day for friends and family of residents and staff. The Easter Bunny made his appearance for pictures with young and old. We also had stations of painting birdhouses, dying Easter eggs, and coloring Easter/Spring coloring sheets. We were grateful to have homemade chocolates for sale from The Candyman-“The Bailey’s”. A raffle was also held with a basket donated by The Baileys and won by resident I. Yaconbenas. The weather tried to put a damper on our egg hunt but we didn’t let it and found a new way to get the children their eggs. 2 prize Golden eggs were found and claimed for a prize. Dietary made cupcakes and a Bunny cake for all to enjoy. A wonderful time was had by all that attended. A big “Thank you” to all who helped make this a wonderful and fun event.

Sharing the luck of the Irish

Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s activity staff had a little St. Patrick’s Day fun with residents by dressing up in some green to show our inner “Irish” and having some snacks and fun. Amy S. from dietary was kind enough to make up something a little special so she brought her special “Green” drink to share with anyone who wanted some refreshment.

Enjoying Mardi Gras

Who doesn’t like fun? Mardi Gras can be a fun time and this is the same here are Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. If you can’t go to New Orleans and enjoy the party at Bourbon Street. Watch the parade, collect a few beads and just have a good time. That’s no reason to not have fun, so the staff held a Mardi Grad party for the residents to celebrate the occasion. So its time to enjoy some music, fun, a few beads and a good time.
