Seniors benefit greatly from singing

RAISE UP YOUR VOICE

Singing is as old as breathing. It can remind you of happy times spent with others over the years, singing in the car on road trips, in church, at baseball games, and at concerts. Seniors benefit greatly from joining singing clubs or local choirs in their community. They have fun, get out of the house, share their musical knowledge or skills, and reap the mental benefits of learning new songs. Sometimes, groups travel to other venues to compete or to entertain in town or school functions. It might be that you have a certain ability that lends itself to a barbershop quartet, or that you can play the group’s piano. The possibilities are endless.

P.S. Singing can improve your quality of life, and you can be tone-deaf to do it. It’s really about the joy and the willingness to share your spirit and your personality.
